Non-black sidewall vulcanized tires are indeed slower than their black sidewall version. Varying from 12% to 20% on average. In addition, they also have lower air retention and cut/puncture qualities too. But hey, people seem to like the way they look so IDK.

Cotton casing is a different story as they're made with a completely different process. With colors, it's like comparing apples and oranges.

I know there are various ways to get the tan sidewall look. I'm curious about the F1 SS R, specifically. Is that in the "non-black vulcanized" category which rolls 20% slower?

Basically I'm looking for the fastest all-rounder tire with tan walls.

Thank you JV. Recommended the non-SS to my friend and the weight for the 28c is spot-on. Feel more supple than GP5000; faster than Maxxis New High Road with similar high grip level. Instantly become the favorite clincher. We just wondered if it is made by Maxxis/CST...

Got a few tires...
Eagle F1 SS R 28 mm tube type.
They weighted 225&224 grams respectively... Look very thin, feel grippy.
Installed on CRW 21 iw 28.6 ew, they measure 29.8-29.9. @75 psi...

The other ones are Eagle F1 R, tube type in 28 ...
They weighted 214, 218, 225...

Mounted on the same rims they measure very reasonable 28.5-28.6mm.

Did a Short ride they seem ok.
Don't have any other impressions for now

Just installed a pair of Eagle F1 R in 34mm last week. Rode them for around 500km on mixed surfaces and I have to say I'm quite happy with them. Much more supple and also grippier than the s-works mondos I rode previously. Ride feel is very similar to Schwalbe pro ones in 34mm.

They measure around 35,5 and 36mm on a 25mm inside rim.

Thought I'd add my finding to yours.... I've just fitted the Eagle F1 SuperSport R 28 mm tube type version on my 23mm ID rims and the tyre comes out to 30.4mm wide at 60 psi. This is wider than I was expecting, I was hoping for under 30mm. It's basically the same width as the 30mm P Zero Race (the newer made in Italy versions) tube type I had on there before.
