Nextie 40mm wide gravelrim! NXT45AGX

I have set of hookless Nexties, 1332gr with Goldix R180SL hubs and Wing 20 spokes.
Very stif, very fast. Running 42mm Pathfinders on them on 3T Exploro Pro and like them very well. WAM around 46mm.
Running 2-2.5bar, more than enough.
I run and build only LB wheels, got these out of some trade and was reulctant to run them at first. Prefered WG44.
After few rides, i dont want WG44 any more (never had them to be clear) because i can not ask more from Nexties.

Intresting ! I am busy with a NXT45AGX build at the moment. Was looking at the Goldix hubs but ended up going with DT350's. Would be good to know how those hubs treat you, they seem really good value for money.

I built at lease 10 wherlsets with Goldix, for buddies and me personally, no worries.
Will transit to Hworks probably, but for lightest huilt possible R180SL is one of best hubsets I can think off. Even without considering price

Any experience with H-works 270 and 360? The carbon spoke ones. These and minor derivations of them seem to be used heavily in branded carbon spoke wheels atm.

Are you ordering hubs from Nextie? I'm only seeing Rollingstar there.

Any experience with H-works 270 and 360? The carbon spoke ones. These and minor derivations of them seem to be used heavily in branded carbon spoke wheels atm.

I'm trying to be open-minded and see what else is available there besides DT-Swiss. I'd even consider trying carbon spokes at this point.

I assume with H-Works you have to build it yourself. You cannot get it from nextie, can you?

I received a set of AGX wheels today with the following build: NXT45AGX-Z Rims (hookless) + UD Free-Coating + DT Swiss 180 EXP Hubs + Sapim CX-Ray Spokes + Alloy Nipples + Tubeless-Ready Version (no holes on the rim bed) + No logos and it came out to 1,362 grams (634g front and 728g rear). Looking forward to getting them installed with 35mm GravelKing Slick tires.

Recieved my NXT45AGX rims. Busy trying to decide on tyres. Would the 40c Tufo Thundero's be a good fit ?

Mine blow up to 41.5mm at 30 PSI. Love them and the tire profile on the rim looks good and is stable in crosswind. I've run a 35mm speedero on the front for more tame gravel and road and while less cushy the tire profile on the rim matches super well

Thanks good to know. Think I might rather opt for the 44c version as I am a little worried about side wall expposure on the 40c and want the extra volume for a piece of mind. Think they blow out to around 43mm from what I have read.

Yeah, I build my wheels.
Hworks hubs are great, probably best i've ever seen.
Only thing I'm missing is noise of EXP, either geniune DT or Goldix hubs .

hworks are standard star ratchet quiet. I like it on my road bike, but on MTB i prefer loud hubs.

I've currently got a 40c thundero on the front and 44c on the back. With the hooked rim these measure 41.5mm and 45.5 @ 30 PSI. I notice a lot of white gravel rock marks on the sidewalls after every ride but at least where I ride the actual loose gravel is smooth so I've never had a sidewall issue. Any tire is going to have a more exposed sidewall on a rim this wide than it would on a thinner rim
