Already got them installed, might do 140mm rear (which loses the adaptor as well for a c.28g saving)

I can't think of anything else besides perhaps shortening the seatpost to min insertion depth based on your final set up height. You have pretty much everything I would do and more (I normally can not tolerate 3rd party cassettes and will always try to run a Dura-ace no matter what).

The old school trick was to run TA-specialities chain rings to save maybe 50 to 100g, or look into Extralite chainrings.

The frame @1126g and fork @422g is hurting the build to get to sub 6.8kg. An older Cervelo S3 / Cervelo SLC-SL from 12+ years ago weighed around 875g for the frame and the 3T funda fork weighed 370g ish... You are also stuck with Cervelo proprietary stem.

perhaps the suggestion I made earlier of trying out the Ritchey (https://us.ritcheylogic.com/us_en/super ... -handlebar). This will save you 63g ish... But at a pretty expensive price, the MSRP is $330 USD.

Looking at the new Prime Carbon bar (https://www.wiggle.co.uk/prime-primaver ... -handlebar), should be <220g in 38cm form, it's designed for internal routing, just not sure if I can fit 2 x Hydro and 2 x Mechanical gear outers through the hole, anyone got these bars that can measure the size of the hole?

In other news, swapped out the heavy Barfly Wahoo mount for a MagCad 3D Printed aero one.

Every little helps, bike now comes in at 7.18 kg.

Nice work. Do you have a link for the M5 x 100 Compression bolt?

I got the last 2 the guy had (had to buy it in a pair, so I do have 1 spare). If you are in the US you will be able to find it somewhere, but minimum order quantity is usually quite high.

I can sell my spare with the corresponding Ti stem clamp bolt M6x45mm if you are interested? PM me

I notice you only taped the bars to the curve and left the stright bar untaped. Do the cables stay in place under the bar? I like this style, but concerned the cables need the tape to be held in place. Apprecriate your comments.

The right shifter side does mostly
Image

Left shifter not as much, I think it’s to do with the curve of the hose in the stem

Hello friend, incredible bike and very light for an "aero"

I just bought a frameset, I'm going to assemble with ultegra mechanic, your assembly topic is helping me a lot.

But some doubts, this computer mount is for wahoo or garmin, where did you get it? or you did it yourself, would you have the file print 3d

second doubt and main, I want to change first the rat system to just thru axle, I understand that first you bought robert adapters, and then found the ones from cervelo.

which is the better cost-benefit of the two, and could you pass me the listing of the parts for this conversion, I've read all the pages, but just to be sure.

Thank you, I will keep following.

Computer mount is by MagCad, they do versions for either Garmin or Wahoo (Mine is Wahoo) you can get them via eBay (seller andymag02) or Shapeways, look for the ones with 'Fizik Cervelo 3T Stems + Others' in the title.

Rat to Thrue Axle:
Parts needed:
QRI-THD (Front Insert)
DRH-WMN112 (Rear Insert)

You can get official Cervelo axles to match as well, although I used J&L ones from eBay (don't think I can post ebay links, but add this string after the ebay URL - /itm/303083720172 )

Front Hub: 12mm* 100mm standard
Weight: 20g
Length of Thru axle: 127MM, 1.5mm thread pitch

Rear Hub: 12mm* 142mm standard
Weight: 26g
Length of Thru axle: 170MM, 1.75mm thread pitch
S-Works SL8 - 6.19Kg/13.71Ib

It's amazing and thanks I will save a lot of money.

another thing I just noticed, this central movement is the bbright, ie 46mm79mm and I'm going to install a shimano dura ace crank 24mm.

right?

Last little bit of tweaking for a while

XTR (RT-MT900) from 160mm > 140mm Rotor on Rear

Shimano have stuck to their guns and continued to produce all disc brake rotors as warped out of the box. deep joy.

105.9g > 88.0g

160>140 Adaptor + Bolts

Total Savings 34.2g

How are you gauging the degree to which the rotors are warped? I have swapped from DA to XTR 140 mm on 2 road bikes and 2 gravel bike and only had to slightly true one of the rotors after a wet ride. I used a Park Tool TS 2.2 truing stand, DT-3 rotor gauge and the dial indicator and will be rechecking all the rotors sometime this weekend as our gravel bikes started developing a light pinging after a muddy ride last weekend.

I generally put them on a glass dining table (if the wife is out) and check if any of the rotor has a gap, this one did by about 1mm, I have a the rotor truing tool so will sort it. I think it's my 4th DA/XTR rotor that has been warped from the box.
