Can I convert Feedback Sports Omnium rollers to thru axle?

A light bike doesn't replace good fitness.

I have an old version of the Feedback Sports Omnium rollers, probably 10 years old when thru axles wern't as common on road bikes. As such there is no real option as far as I can see to swap anything out on the clamping assembly. It also appears on a closer look to have a far bigger diameter QR axle than normal (I assume for strength).

From what I can see, most thru axle adapers are sleeves that would fit into the empty space that doesn't exist in this set up.

Does anyone know of a way to make this work?

I don't know if there is something like a 12mm puck that is pretty thin (think width of the fork inset) that can adapt this safely?

Edit - I should be clear this is the connection of the front fork (12mm thru axle) to the trainer I'm asking about, not trying to convert a wheel or anything.

Given how particular your configuration is, you might be able to obtain some custom machined spacers or adapters, but it will be difficult. Although some have had success doing it themselves with washers or spacers, safety is crucial, particularly when working with thru-axles. A local machine shop might be able to assist in producing a thin puck-style adaptor; nevertheless, alignment should be carefully considered. If not, switching to a more recent trainer that supports thru-axles could ultimately save you a great deal of trouble.
