Lightest 11-34 or 11-36 11S cassette with GRX
Moderator: Moderator Team
I'm looking to find a good place to save weight over the original Shimano 105 11-34 cassette.
But wouldn't sacrifice shifting quality.
Seems there is a "hole" in the market now. There used to be XTR titanium cassettes in 11-34 10S, but now in 11S Shimano tops at Ultegra ...?
Sram 11S, or third party monobloc cassettes any good ?

SRAMs XG1190 goes only to 11-32, unfortunately.

I swapped my ultegra 11-34 for a 105 to pocket the 45€ difference, here's the weight difference I got on my scale:
Ultegra 11-34: 330g
105 11-34: 359g
As far as I know Miche or Garbaruk don't make 11-34s, that leaves aliexpress sellers, quite a few claim weight between 230 and 240 grams but as far as I know that weight doesn't include the lockring (my measurements did) and they have some aluminum teeth which might wear out faster. As for shifting they all have shifting ramps and some people report excellent shifts, some have issues. YMMV depending on the chain.
SRAM indeed do not make a 11-34 as far as I know but they DO make a 11-36 but it's pretty expensive and heavy at 370g.

Miche makes 11s 11-34T and 12-34T with cog sequence from shimano 12s 11-34T:

34T is separate cog, 12-34T is heavy 392.2:
