Hi friends

I just bought this SRAM XX1 Eagle GXP crankset:

It has a Quarq power meter spider.

I am wondering - in case I can't cope with the large Q factor, can I just swap out the cranks for SRAM Red GXP cranks, and attach them to the same PM?

Or are there any chain line or other compatibility issues ?

Thanks!

The first problem you're going to have is the Q will only be off on the Drive side. Because of the way that the GXP spindle locks up against the inside of the NDS bearing, it's going to be about 5mm off on the drive side.

As for the spider, it will likely mount to a Red or Force crank, but the chainline will probably be off a bit. If you're running 1x, it may not be enough to really matter. I am currently running an older 3-screw Quarq 5x110 BCD spider on my MTB with a 34T narrow/wide ring and its working fine.

I'll leave it up to you to figure out the other 30%. If you are in any way offended, that's on you.

Oh. Any ways the first problem you describe can be mitigated?
