I am looking for some alu gravel wheels around the 1500g mark. But I can’t seem to find many options. The only options i could find are:
- Scribe race wide+
- Hunt Gravel Race

In the past there where a lot of lightweight xc wheels but those don’t seem to exist anymore.

How about getting a builder to build a set with Stans Crest rims and Bitex hubs? With CX Rays or D Lights that could be a very light wheelset.

Stans crest have a hideously max weight, it would be fine for normal riding but I wouldn’t be able to bike packing on them

I think WheelProject eu can build wheels using the lightest Duke XC alu rim.
Their prices are pretty good. Would think 1500gm is achievable around that price.

I've bought a few pairs from dcrwheels.co.uk in Lewes (south east England) and wouldn't go anywhere else. Their own label centrelock hubs (Bitex) and rims built with CX rays are super strong and come in around 1550g for about 500 euros. They do more exotic / lighter / expensive builds obviously but I've never felt the need to spend more.

The new Scribe Race-D Wide+ could be a good fit for your requirements.

I've had a fantastic experience with Hunt's aluminum Adventure something-or-other wheelset.

I've had good luck with the DT Swiss ER1400. I have two pairs that I've used for two years on pavement and light gravel with no problems.
