Seems like the cassette might be 10-44 based on the spec list here...

https://www.bombtrack.com/complete-bike ... -rival-axs

...and Rival Flat Top chain too...

I may have missed your point, but both the XG-1251 cassette and the Rival flattop chain have been available earlier.

Someone at bikerumor.com posted on fb a photo of the new axs apex mechanical. The hoods were different. They appeared more in line with the current rival and force axs. When clicking the link went to a dead end. Some minutes later they removed the post.

Whelp, there it is.

Seems like its trying to get ahead of the (cheaper) Chinese offerings.

Awesome, just as I've been whining about wanting a 12 speed 11-42/11-44 on HG from Shimano (for some reason I never saw this thread).

Any indication as to the gradations? 11-12-13 are a lock.... as is 44.... so my guess:

11,12,13,15,17,19,21,24,28,32,38,44
your guess was correct

Cog sizes: 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 24, 28, 32, 38, 44

It's heavy (obviously) and still uses DOT fluid (not my favorite as a home mechanic) but everything else looks pretty good and the price is right. If it had a front derailleur I would strongly consider putting this on my gravel bike, but even with 12 speed the jumps in the rear cassette are too large for me.

If Shimano doesn't bring Di2 down in price/tier, they're gonna get eaten alive in this segment of the market, even more than they already are...

Since the Apex AXS rear derailleur is apparently designed to work with 10-36 XD cassettes AND 11-44 HG cassettes, the first person to try it with Shimano's 11-36 12 speed casette will go down in the annuls of history as a legend.

SRAM: 10,11,12,13,15,17,19,21,24,28,32,36

Shimano: 11,12,13,14,15,17,19,21,24,28,32,36

(someone please test this!)
