if only SRAM would release a casette akin to the ekar 10-44. the jumps in the small rings are too big. I don't really mind in the bigger rings as much as in the small ones. 10,11,12,13,14,15,17,19,24,30,36,44 would be my ideal XPLR casette.
The xg-1270 10-36 is quite close to your specs:

From my viewpoint, the perfect cassette is an ekar 9-36 plus an expander cog with 42t:
9-10-11-12-13-14-16-18-20-23-27-31-36 + 42

I made the 42t expander but I'm still working on the 14s ratchet.

I admire your workmanship, but I'm using SRAM AXS shifters and rear derailleur. I don't have much time to faff around with my bikes and just need these things to work out of the box. the closest to my desired cog spacing with 12spd is currently the rotor 11-39 or 11-46 casette. I really do miss the 12 tooth cog on my 1x sram setup with a 42t front chainring as it's the gear that usually gets me to the desired cadence at 220W bang on in Z2 where I noodle around a lot. 11t is a bit low and 13t a bit high on cadence. Once my XPLR casette and chain wear out I might try out the Rotor casette.

thanks for the suggestion. We have some steep and long climbs around here so I'd like a lower gear than 1:1.167 (I'm running a 42t currently). For flat routes I have a 10-33 casette on my aero wheels already. Have yet to try that out though.
