There's been nothing substantial at all about Cues for road - only rumours about rumours. No need to panic about it yet, but if it happens panicking will be eminently reasonable IMHO. Cues might be good for OEMS, but a nightmare for everyone else until all the pre-Cues stuff is worn out or has been abandoned.

The only part that's really missing for 12 speed GRX is a clutched rear derailleur; all the other bits are mostly present in other groups. They might not have the same cosmetics, but that shouldn't matter much...
Aside from gravel gearing chainsets, matching front mechs, levers & brakes?

Sure, you could cobble together a GRX-esque group but you'd be limited to 50/34 x 11-34 (unless you find an 11-36 cassette)

Having gone down a similar path pre-GRX with Easton EC90 chainset & 9150/9170 parts elsewhere, I for one won't do that again. I ended up subbing in XTR Di2 mechs and chainset for proper gearing and even that isn't ideal. Shimano mechs shifting across the dedicated Shimano chainrings will always outperform everything, IME.

Maybe there'd be a road version of CUES Di2 to compete with the upcoming Apex eTap AXS?

^ I don't think so. If you look at the CUES specs online it's pretty basic stuff, with 178-180mm Q factors (or CUES factors). There's nothing really road-like so far.

Right now we're just waiting for the dominoes to fall, with Apex AXS, GRX, 105 mechanical, new Campag, stuff out of China, etc.

A dealer told me likely later this month for announcement. Anyone have any clue yet about part (vs complete bike) availability?

Tell us a bit more? I've got a 1x and 2x GRX800 I've been unable to decide between holding up two builds.

All they said was the above.

Think they'll include new shoes as well? Seeing lots of RX8s on sale

RX8 was recently refreshed to the RX801 (and they added a cuffed version and an RX6 as well), so you’re probably seeing OG RX8s on sale. They appear to be aligned with the rest of the shoe product lifecycles so unlikely to get updated again with the groupset.

Wouldn’t these groupsets all be part of the Cues range though? 11sp link glide?

No real novel info here, but I just noticed that BR-RX820 has been added to the dealer's manual for all the 810 stuff: https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/dm/GADBR ... 08-ENG.pdf
Same differences as with R8100/9200 which are all as-expected.

That's the 11s GRX limited edition silver coloured caliper, which is the same as the regular 810. The part number is confusingly named.

I believe the 820-LE caliper is different to the 810 one. The marketing page for it highlights the same '10% extra clearance' that was introduced in the 12 speed road groupsets https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/ ... 20-LE.html
