You could have bought the FSA ACR stem and handlebars which allow you to route everything internally into stem.

Oh thank you for your seggestion!

Yes of course I could.

However, ACR system requires specifically made stems and they are nearlly 240gramish.... it adds almost150g
The only other option is Vision metron ACR 5D stem, handlebar combo but they are quite scarce and maybe too narrow to be used on gravels.
This one also adds 50-70g according to its length and width but makes my wallet rellatively light!

What I have in mind is to use this D steerer fork for my future bikes..
any old bike with 1 1/8, 1 1/2 head tube can be converted info internal cabled ones.
I aldo ordered Shimano Discover gravel carbon bars with 400mm top, 20deg fralere, 200g and sold my current bars (spesh S works shallow bend 400mm)

Yep, that's why I went for the Vision Metron 5D ACR on my 3T Exploro. As I was searching, the Pro Vibe Evo cockpit has option for top cable routing like ACR system.

7th Oct, 2022

1. Hylix 25.4 zero offset seatpost.

Image
Before: Tune Komm Vor & Cannondale 25mm setback carbon c1 post = 271g
Now: the gleighe sattel & Hylix post 0 offset, 100mm cut = 222g
result: -49g

Thoughts: Hylix one came as 150g and I cut 100mm for this one is unneccessarilly long to me. I shaved 27g off.
I inspected the cut section and the thickness was uniform and the total structural integrity seemed OK to me.

2. J&L light Thru axles

Image
Before: Syntace axles F & R = 72g
Now: J&L axles = 52g
result = -20

Thoughts: These were advertised "19g, 22g each" but the result is quite disappointing.

3. Generic, Non branded, 30 degree flared carbon bars.

Image
Before: S-works shallow bend 400mm = 195
Now: 30 deg flared, 400mm = 211
Result: +16g

Thoughts: At firts I thought it'd be a cheapo carbon thingy but it surprises me beacause it does not flex at all and is really well made. I will post another detailed review of it.
30 degree flare is nice but at some hooded postion, my wrists hurt a little. I will change the bar angle and do some clinical trials.

22nd, Oct 2022. I swapped back to S works shallow bend 400mm. My wrist is uncomfortable with 30deg flare..
Now: S-works shallow bend 400mm = 195
Result: 0

4. Torn Deda traforato --> 19mm width TESA cotton tape.
Before: 38g
Now: 21g
Result: -17

5.
Image

Before = 6941g
NOW= 6941 - 49 - 20 +0 -17 = 6855g

J&L thru axles, front is always around 19-22 gram. Rear is always around 29g.

So what you wrote above is probably just a typing error. So 52 gram is absolutely spot on and correct, 30g rear + 22g front! Lighter axles than this is not possible.

Thank you for correcting me, Yes "22g" is typo of 26.. I re-checked the seller's picture and spotted that he brags about 19g for front, 26g for rear.
So 45g vs 52g.. hmm I think he must have picked the lightest one among the batch. Anyway bad luck to me.

I should have searched about it thoroughly, I did not know that thre rear ones are always 30grammish. Thnak you anyway.

Oh I saw your post recently. You fabricated custom made stem cap. Nice job. With 3D printer? maybe?

I searched for that bar again and come to know the hole behind stem clamping area is just for DI2 cable. No cables, just one electric wire.
I can not risk my safety widening the hole with my rotary tool. So I have to source another bars.

The axles pictured on Ebay are probably not identical to those you have received, they use the same pictures for many different models.

Your rear axle is using a brass cone washer, the sellers pictures do not use anythign else than a thin aluminum shim :)

Yes a minor error from both of you but definitely nothing to be upset about. As I said, there are no lighter axles available than these, maybe for a good sake, you do not wanna die.

Stem cap is original carbon cover with just groove made to allow hose to pass out from cockpit into frame. You looked at something different https://www.pro-bikegear.com/us/road/ha ... -handlebar this allows same routing as the Vison 5D ACR, look into the documentation.
