34mm Pro One should "blow" up to 37-38mm width. then we are talking light gravel and tarmac wheelset that is fast... Got me interested actually. One of my routes is 50/50 tarmac and gravel. Could be cool to test 34mm slicks.
BRR Tested the 34mm Pro-One this week. Unfortunately, they only measure 0.7mm larger than 32mm Pro-One, so I expect they would measure less than 37mm mounted on the AGX45

mine measures 33.7mm on 19mm - 22mm rim.

Anyway they are now offering carbon spoke, hub building option for their custom wheelset.

I asked about agx40 rims can be built with them and they said "yes".
However, the lacing is 2:1, 21/21spokes and somehow similar to the design of cadex new gravel wheelset

Any thoughts about this?

COOL! Probably weights on complete wheelset Will be sub 1400g... That would be sick.

Has anybody tried 42mm Pathfinders on these? Looks like it could be a good option but I can only clear a 45mm tyre and concerned that the extra rim width will cause issues

My Pathfinder Pro 42's on 22id rims measure 41.7mm. I have not mounted them on my AGX45, but adding 0.3mm of tyre width* for each extra 1mm of inner rim width, they should measure 43.8mm.

*0.3mm tyre width growth estimate is based on this BRR rim width test

How many people are using slick 32-36c tires on wide rim like that? Can anyone post picture of Nextie with such a wide tire.

I am running a 35mm Rene Herse Bon Jon Pass slick on the front wheel. The measured width is 39.5mm.

Wonder what https://www.somafab.com/archives/produc ... less-ready would look like on the AGXs and if it would fit into the Kanzo Fast frame? 🤔

The SV 48 would measure between 51mm and 52mm wide in the Nextie rims. That much tyre overlap would catch some side wind.

The hubs look more basic. I can't remember what the spokes are ... are those the ones that have repeatedly failed lately (Ascent Polaris etc) or are they of the type WinSpace / Speeder and ELITE are using?

Either way, don't do carbon spoke offroad ... it's asking for trouble.

If you want carbon 'spokes' on a gravel wheelset, you'd be better off trying ELITE's DRIVE SIX (gravel version). Theoretically it ought to be tougher and safer than steel spokes, rather than vastly less safe (carbon spokes). Also, obviously, more aero.

Where does Ascent offer any wheels with carbon spokes?

They don't anymore ... that's the point. They were withdrawn from the market because they were dangerous.

Ascent provided their product paired with carbon spokes but they were seriously inferior to more commonly used version (alloy insert with tapered hole).
Ascent's spokes were glued ones... in other words, an alloy threaded insert was glued to a CFRP rod... they su**ed and the bond was easily damaged.
So they decided not to sell them anymore.
