Tyres are Terravail Rutland 27.5 2.10" on a Size 51 frame.FlatlandClimber wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 2:24 pmThe tires look gargantuan, like 3.0" fat bike tires. What is the frame size?

The problem is … that sometimes I order a bike …. and due to Covid and supply chain issue it takes a while for it to turn up.
So it was a very nice surprise when I came back from holiday. Now I just need to source some parts….Enve Stem and brakes calipers

Hi Scuddy, scuddyflypaper wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 6:55 pmHi tjoerd I feel the same it's serving as my road and gravel bike and sold an emonda slr to get it. Working out well
Truthfully even though it's maybe 1.5kgs heavier I am sure it climbs better... it's not even slightly in doubt actually it really does
On the road I am using Zipp Firecrest 303's which brought the weight down quite a bit. They're only 1300g+. I have them Tubeless which also helps
They could double as excellent gravel wheels but I went with the 3T 44/40... they are nice but too heavy I would have gone with 2 x Zipp Firecrest with different tyres road/gravel if I'd known
It's now 8.3kg in total including pedals size 56
Not amazing weight but not too bad for an aero doubling as capable gravel machine
I've got the schwalbe pro one tyres and AXS 2x by the way
I've done nothing else to it am wondering how else to shave off weight. Group set upgrade to Red maybe ... although I think that is problematic with the lack of a wide range cassette far as I understood it. Am really enjoying having that for gravel use then extending onto the roads and good higher speed capability
Thanks for your reply (must have missed it before)! What tyre size do you use in road setup?
As I live in a pretty flat country I'm thinking of trying 1x soon, thereby reducing weight. Further looking at lower weight wheels with tubeless and sizing my tyres down to 28mm/30mm. I don't want to go too crazy on spending for shaving weight off, would then prefer to eventually spend it on a dedicated road bike probably.
@alexneumuller really nice looking color combination, enjoy the build!

If your using Hope calipers I would use hope rotors, especially for gravel. I am using that combo on the Saffron and they are lighter and thinner than the sram ones and look great with the Hope calipers. Plus they come in fun colours so you could go red to match the frame?alexneumuller wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 6:43 pmThat is still an open question. Any suggestions?CustomMetal wrote:Hope calipers? Ordered the Hope Rotors ein 160mm. And have changed my mind on the stem/handlebar: Ordered the Syncros Gravel Creston iC SL X which is a one piece cockpit.
I do have a set of Enve G23 wheels.....but thinking of going more Aero style wheels optimised for 40-42mm tires......question is just which ones?
Any recommendation?
