I disassembled my Exustar E-PM222 pedals. They appear to be very similar to the M-force 8’s from Expedo. Could someone give me some measurements from the Favero axle? The Exustar axle is 50mm long from the seal and 10mm in diameter at the seal.

On a similar note - any recommendations for a pedal socket to dismantle?
I have many sets of SPD (Shimano and Zeray mainly), and my sockets are too broad to access the nut.

Most of the XT pedals work. None of the XTR ones will.

I tried XT’s PD-M8000 pedals & it didn’t work.

The threaded portion location on the XT axles is slightly off & doesn’t allow the axles to thread all the way in - they leave a 1/4” gap between the body & the axle shoulder.

PD-520 pedals worked OK.

Yes - no issues at all.
Power tracks OK & no issues with clearance / interference with the shoes (using Shimano RX8 gravel shoes)

Apologies for going over potentailly old ground, but just building an all-road bike that is essentially all the running gear from my current roadie (with a FSA Powerbox 50/34) and a FM-696 frame.

The majority of the riding will be on the road, but if I venture onto more gravel, the plan is to use the Alba 48/32 crank and a betyter cassette , 11-36 maybe to cope with the climbs, but the only power option for that crank is pedal PM.

The cheapest and easiet route seems to be Assioma UNO pedals, ditch the road bodies and add the PD-520 bodies.

Is that correct ? This woul be almost 50% of the cost of the Garmin XC100.

Or is another option to use just the Favero Electronics Left Pedal Axle With Sensor For Assioma UNO/DUO - Left Pedal, and swap the PD-520 body only on the left, and then use the std PD-520 on the right (but this would then also have a Q-factor imbalance ??)

Cheers, and thanks to those people already experimenting !! :beerchug:

The only axles that work for this conversion are the Assioma Duo SHI, they don’t offer this axle as a single pedal option.

The Assioma Uno axle is not compatible with Shimano pedals, that’s why they created the SHI axle option.

Ah, cheers - so if the UNO is used, need to stick with Xpedo pedals (M-Force 4, 8 or CXR) ?

There are other pedals that work - you need to check the Trainerroad original thread that started this - I'll put a link below.

My original plan was to go your way - with the Assioma Uno/Duo & Xpedo pedals, however, I couldnt find the Xpedo Ti pedals for cheap & wanted to avoid having to modify the outsole of the shoes, which seems to be necessary with majority of the shoes, as they will hit the Favero pod.

has anyone tested it with mtb giro shoes? either with Assioma shim or Assioma Uno/Duo & Xpedo pedals.

Is the space enough or do I have to cut the sole?

What's the stack height of the XPedo CXR Pro? I want to move away from the ATACs I'm using due to both high stack (19mm) and that the cleats develop play so quickly if you spend much time walking. I'd love to go back to Bebops (11.5mm stack), but cleat availability and no mid foot adapters are an issue.
