Hello everyone, was wondering after seeing many brands that offer "gravel bike with suspension" and some dylan johnson video about his famous hardtrail dropbar.

Some brands offer some gravel bike with suspension (canyon, giant ...) but there are some lacks about tire clerance, you still can't use if you need 2.1/2.2 tire.

Anyone has try to transform his hard trail with "gravel/mtb" groupset and gravel dropbar ?

Seems a good compromise on the papre (geometry can be an issue but seems be possible to use short stem to compensate the longest reach of the hardtrail).

Any experience or though about it ?

See for example the third bike in this list:

FWIW, Lael Wilcox has done similarly in the past for the GDMBR. (Lael is currently trying to break the womens around the world record, but on a Roubaix.)

There's also a little discussion here:

Lauf Seigla can fit 2.25 and has an option for a fork that has some flextures in it. The travel is only 30mm though.
Fox has released a gravel specific fork called the 32 TC.
