I've the Crankbros Eggbeater S on my road bike.
I really love these pedals, but I would like to save some weight.
I think to replace the steel spindle with a titanium one, it's not too expensive.
Do you know if the Crankbros titanium upgrade kit is the only one available? or are there some alternatives? :?:

thanks

i don't think people would spend 300 or whatsoever euro if they could get the ti-stuff as cheap upgrade...

how much is it then and what does it include?

Xpedo Ti/Ti pedals are similar in appearance and clipping in as Shimano P959's. They weigh 198g and the cheapest I've seen them is $144USD. Add say $20 for international postage from US to italy and you have a sub 200g pedal for EURO 134. That's, I'm assuming, that you are ok with a mtb pedal on a road bike.

Alternatively (looking at road pedals), cheapest I've seen Speedplay X-1 Ti is $200USD. Again add $20 Postage and you have a 150g pedal for EURO 179.

On a tighter budget, Speedplay X-3 220g and (hunting around) $80 ($20 shipping), so EURO 81.

Worth taking you time to hunt around for bargains.
