BB86 on Giant is awesome dudes. Just install and forget basically.

I wouldn't want anything else.

So you like premature bearing wear ... you must be one of very few.

First real ride with the new TCR. I changed almost everything compared with old to new bike so it feels very different. Cozy... As I mentioned previously, it really needs intense sunlight and the right angle for the finish to appear anything besides pure black.

Advanced pro raw carbon size M
Dura ace groupset + Ultegra crankset.
Avian Canary (built up at bike shop for frame warrenty, giant had me sign a waiver due to the custom handlebar but sounds like warranty is still valid).
Light bicycle WR40
GP5000 S TR 30mm

Seems like J&L Ti+Carbon Clamp (https://www.ebay.com/itm/125287941052) is a cheap way to save some weight for the advanced framset. It looks similar to the current TCR clamp, anyone know if it would be compatible. Looks like the elilee trecento might be in trouble which was the main upgrade path.
Looks amazing. Love the subtlety of that black fade
Giant really stepped up the paint game on the new TCR's

I'd use 30mm or DUB, when i had Shimano i bought aftermarket cranksets. But it doesn't matter, what matters is they restrict the frame by doing this. Why make a great frameset and use an inferior BB standard, that is really beyond any reason. When so many standards that allow usage of all axles with best possible options, you simply don't design a frame like that. Still and most remarkable, so many brands still do this.

Do we know what the minimal spacer height is on this new model? I didn't read the conclusion yet. I'm riding the 2021 model with no spacers only 5 mm bearing cap.

Ouch that's a lot. Another good reason to size down. Thank you for this information.

Don't forget with this frame that even though you are stuck with +15mm of spacers, all of the stems that are compatible with the upper tiers are -10deg which negates most of that stack.

My shoes are to tall, I'll go down a size.

headset cover cap is 5mm, another 5mm is needed minimally for the transition spacer if you're running Di2. The 5mm special transition spacer is only available for the SL builds. 10mm transition spacer is included if you're advanced pro level.

I honestly think it depends on use case scenario. I have a 30mm FSA bb in a BB86 frame that has now been in for two years with no complaints. I use that bike mainly for crit's and road races as it is cheaper than my normal bike and it has probably done about 5000km now in dry conditions

Anyone know if the Propel aero cages mesh up with the TCR downtube well?
