Considering doing a BMC Teammachine SLR01 or Racemachine RM01 build and looking at the different frameset generations and revisions. I would like to know what the main differences are between the Gen1 SLR01 and RM01, and secondly the Gen 2 SLR01 vs Gen 1. I beleive the model years for Gen 1 were upto 2013 and Gen 2 2014-2017.
I prefer the oldschool look of the Gen 1 with the external routing and graphics, but I am mainly concerned about tyre clearance. Having just done a build with a Gen 1 Supersix Evo and knowing how tight even 23s are, I would prefer to be able to run 25s without worrying about rubbing. Can anyone comment on this?

I've got a SLR01 frame which I guess is the 2012 design. It does have external routing for the rear brake which even over a decade ago I was a little surprised by. Anyway, tyre clearance: 25mm is fine, 28mm is not.

Looks great, yes i think the 2014 they changed internal routing for shifting and rear brake. Guessing yours is the di2 specific frameset. On your 25mm tires what wheels are you running and what are their intenral width? What clearance do you have to the chainstays? I would like to run 19mm internal w/ 25mm tyres. Thanks
