These conical spacers are for headsets with 1 1/2" bearings....like this case, a normal 1 1/8" headset cannot fit the hoses

I was thinking of placing an FSA ACR type expander (Chinese copy)

to enlarge the gap to pass the 2 sleeves to the stem...but with a 1 1/8" tube (inner +/- 23 mm.) the space is too tight and the hoses would be too forced...that's why I came up with this system

i would epoxy carbon on the carbon fork. but in the past alpha q used an alloy insert that went a good part of the steerer and it was epoxied in.
