The new emonda/madone is one of the better looking bike around atm (minus the butthole of course)
Without that hole, it basically just looks like the existing and soon to die Emonda.
Ehhh there are subtle differences that I think change the way it's perceived. Oddly enough, I think it looks way more like the new emonda alr. It's in the downtube shaping and headtube junctions that the outgoing Emonda doesn't have.

New madonda or whatever it may be is one of the ugliest bikes there is atm IMO.

a shot in the dark, but might as well. Anybody hear anything about a new cube aero bike? If some are to be believed it should be the Bross Zenith frame and has been in production for like 9 months, but this is very old and not very concrete news. I'd hope we see it at the Tour at least

I wonder if they're coming out with carbon spoke wheels. Farsports (wheelsfar) just added a carbon spoke dtswiss hub recently to their offerings.

Judging by how the industry is moving, this is probably Cervelo's new all rounder race bike. :D

I don’t know. I’ve seen a ton of Soloists around my local race scene. Probably second only to Tarmacs as the most popular race bike. They’re really popular partly for the cheaper price tag from what I’ve heard more than a few times by people that have them. One of the local teams rides them as their team bike as well.

Yeah, I think Soloist suffers from '2nd tier bike syndrome' perceptions. It's also most probably less profitable for Cervelo than S tier bikes.

I don't know if the S5 was ever a big seller and I reckon popularity of R5 has tailed off, so why not jump on the all rounder premium bike bandwagon?

Yeah I know Jumbo uses them for some races and riders and NorCal cycling is on their second year. I'm sure it's a fine bike just doesn't stand out much, when I talked to the Cervelo rep back in the day to find out why it was cheaper than the S5 and R5 he wouldn't straight up say that it was because it uses a lower grade of carbon or is heavier but said something like "it's cheaper to design and manufacture a bike that doesn't have to be super light or super aero". It just made it seem like a 2nd tier bike to me, like they didn't really try that hard or want to design it but just put something out to fill a hole in their lineup.

$2700 is pretty good these days though for a name brand I suppose
