winspace new hyper wheels with 23mm inner width. https://www.winspace.cc/hyper3/?v=3a52f3c22ed6
With road tires gravitating towards 30s and even 32s, the exterior width is narrow at least in the Western world.

The most underrated wheel release so far that's going by silently without the hoopla is the new Reserve 42|49. Wide internals (25.4mm Front, 24.8mm Rear), relatively light for the overall dimension (Width 34.4mm Front, 32.1mm Rear |Depth 42mm Front, 49mm Rear - 1341g for the 180 DT Swiss hub), and HOOK wheels, that's weight weenie wheel for you.
I'm having a hard time not comparing everything to the new Newmen, which are deeper, lighter, and cheaper than the Reserve. Within a mm of width, too.
Then what are you waiting for? Buy it and let us know how it rides.

I'm happy with my Ascent 69. My response is to your statement that the Reserves are the "most underrated."

I think in regards of weight, it is hard to beat Farsport, on Wheelsfar.com site. It is my third wheelset from them. First Hyper. Absolutelly fantastic wheels. And I do some heavy watts.
And you get that for about 1.000 EUR. So way less than other comparable wheels.

With other hubs, such as DTSwiss 240 or 180, they are marginally heavier

No idea who is doing product management at Reserve, offering them with DT350/240/180 is insulting. Who buys a 1799€ wheel with DT350?

Feels like a product to sell to inexperienced customers in a bike shop

A wheel that comes to mind is the Roval Rapide CL, with a list price of $1750 for the set, also with 350 hubs

The current incarnation of the DT 350 is great, comes with larger bearings than the 240 and it’s barely any heavier despite not using Ratchet EXP. The set is ~50g heavier.

Nothing to discuss if you don’t improve upon the external width in your new release.

It’s painful to see Roval CL with round spokes. Image

Think DT Swiss released updates to the GRC 1100 and 1400...in 30 and 50mm depths

man speaking of the DT350, holy shit these things can last.

I sold a set to a customer 5 years ago and the bearings are still solid despite clocking in huge miles. (the bloke also trashes his bike a lot)

I couldn't agree more, especially the little bearings in the 180 and 240 hubs are crap for durability.

Im sure Honda and Toyota have one... anyways 28mm external is non-starter.

None of their large wind tunnels are on Japanese soil.
