Hello all, I am sure this has been discussed before but I can't find it.
Hill climb bike, Scott CR1 in this instance, looking at brakes I got some old weinmanns the leaves are 60g each and I think, from memory, the calipers are 89g a peice. I Can use the leavers with the existing 105 direct mount calipers but for the full attack hill climb I would be looking to shed as much weight as possible so ideally would like to use said calipers.
Has anyone had any joy in getting them fitted?
I was thinking I am going to have to get some sort of sleeve machined, but if I get a company to make it that will probably cost too much wonder if there is some pre made items that would do the job.
As you may have guessed it is a budget build.
Old weinmanns on direct mount frame.
