Are many people running the buttom functions different to default?

I never thought about changing until today, reading the review of SRW: https://escapecollective.com/farewell-t ... -wireless/

And they wrote about operating the FD with the thumb shifters and the rear with the bottom buttons.
Therefore when riding hard, you can shift up and down in more positions.

No, because I've still got some mechanical Campy groups and it's easier to have them all operate the same.

Because they're talking about V3 11spd and wired 12 eps. The mycampy app allows you to do this. Has nothing to do directly with the new group.
And to the op, I agree with the post above, have mech and used to it.
