I've got a Trek Emonda with a Quarq D-Four crank and I'm starting to get some creaking noises and though I'm not 100% the BB is the cause of the creak, It's made me realize I've never delt with any BB standards other than BB90 and BB86 and have never delt with GXP and don't even know what the best replacement bearings are. Should I just go with the Trek BB GXP/BB90 kit or are are there other options I should look at?

Should I also assume that my Park Tool BB90 Bearing Removal tool will work on the non standard side of the BB90 GXP side? I should be able to use the old bearing in my press to get the new one in.

Just get the Trek BB90 kit IMO. The various third-party kits have weird fitment issues with the NDS bearing if you try to reuse the plastic sleeve that comes with the Trek kit. I also use Loctite 609 and don’t use wavy washer on the DS.

I use the Unior BB90 bearing puller to remove old bearings.

Perfect. I'll just order the Trek kit and some Loctite 609.

I agree to just use the Trek one. The loctite install is overkill IMO. Only ever done it with grease and have never encountered any problems with that.
