I looked at the picture and then my seka exceed, the rear is almost identical. However seka head tube noticably taller and fork integrates better. Top tube on rysel appears skinnier. I guess venge frame was a role model for all three designs.

Only if there is enough interest to warrant the effort of making the mold. And based on other threads, it can take quite some time for enough requests to come in.
It also remains to be seen if the RCR and the other models with the same seatpost are popular enough with the special kind of owners that share your interest in a lighter bike and are willing to fork out the necessary extra cash

Will there be a separate release date for the US? I can’t seem to find any mention of this bike in the US decathlon site.

It seems the bikes will not be available directly through Decathlon in the US.mrbrown4001 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 7:45 pmWill there be a separate release date for the US? I can’t seem to find any mention of this bike in the US decathlon site.

"The bikes will be available through Decathlon in Europe, while in the US, Van Rysel is establishing a dealer network." (source: https://www.bikeradar.com/news/sea-otte ... vel-bikes/)
"...and we're very proud to introduce our new entry into the US market. We've made a concerted effort to build premium bikes that we can sell into bike shops." (source: https://youtu.be/BREWYHCYz8g?t=20 )
I think this distribution/sales model really hurts the value proposition. The pricing for the RCR with Force is not that compelling to me at $7k (vs EUR 4700 in Europe). That comes in below a similarly-equipped SL7 or new SSE Hi-Mod, but more than a Cervelo Soloist ($6800), Supersix Evo 1 (non hi-mod with force, $6500), or Canyon Aeroad CF SLX ($6k).

At the current exchange rate today 4700 euros is $5160.07. How on earth is Van Rysel going to justify $7k for a build? I’t would be cheaper to buy a complete bike in Europe and have it shipped. Even if there are cheaper builds I’m not buying that bike based on principle now.garbageman wrote:It seems the bikes will not be available directly through Decathlon in the US.mrbrown4001 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 7:45 pmWill there be a separate release date for the US? If anyone from Van Rysel is listening please don’t come to the US with a ridiculous up charge this brand has no reputation here so there are plants of other bikes that I would rather buy at that price point. I was very excited to buy this bike but not anymore. I had so much hope for Van Rysel but not if this is true!!
