It seems the new hi-end van rysel (decathlon) models are about to hit their stores
here's the FCR on the german website:

£4300 in the UK, great looking bike. Seems like ~£6000 is the normal price for an Ultegra Di2 Aero bike so definitely a bargain. Shame the wheels are a bit heavy.

Price is good but i still think a Canyon Ultimate CF SL 8 Aero at 4999 € would be a better choice and less of an experiment: https://www.canyon.com/en-de/road-bikes ... e=R101_P02

However it's not an Aero Bike, more of an allrounder obviously. On the other hand it remains to be seen how aero the Van Rysel actually is.
  • Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 8 Di2
  • Cervelo Caledonia Rival eTap AXS
  • Vitus Venon Evo
  • Canyon Grail CF SL 8 Di2

The Deda Vinci cockpit is heavy af as well... Change wheels, cockpit, cassette and you'll be at <7.5 kg easily.

Well, if you're okay with the default stem on the canyon, yeah. Probably.

the RCR looks like it will be better than the FCR in just about every way

Rumours AG2R-Citroën will ride Van Rysel next year. They moved to BMC when Greg Van Avermaet joined the team but his contract wil end this year.

Planning on buying it (the non-Pro layout, with Sram Force), release is expected in May.

I checked and there are mentions of US and Canadian NCR models, nothing about the FCR or RCR.

Looks like neither the RCR or FCR consider having a bottle on the downtube when it comes to aerodynamics...very odd tube shapes for the modern era.
