Has anyone else had problems with Darimo or any other seat post slipping?

I fitted a darimo yesterday with supplied carbon paste and it just persistently slides down.

Basic dimensions are spot on.

My only observation is that the carbon paste supplied is quite greasy. Any recommendations for a better, drier paste? Or some other solution? I considered some kind of tape around the clamping area.

Park Tool. Used it for years with zero issues.

Same here. Good old park tool with correct torque should do it.

Nope,DT Swiss Aerolite II spokes. New hubs and new carbon layup (still DT Swiss 180 ceramic internals).

Anyone know anywhere in the UK that sells decent S-Works decals in Chrome effect? I know speedydecal is probably the best but any alternatives out there?

Team Clx wheels are only 40g lighter than Clx I, and no way those new silver hubs are as aero as the ones on Clx I wheels.

In case anyone else finds this looking for a solution, I seem to have gotten somewhere with cleaning and regressing the clamp per the owners manual, degreasing post and reapplying carbon paste on the contact surfaces, ensuring clamp is well seated while torquing and putting all sorts of loads on the post afterwards, then re-torquing.

I never did anything special with the old post but I guess it's possible I got some carbon paste in the wrong part of the clamp or something :noidea:

I was told recently by someone allegedly "in the know" that there are significant differences between the 12r sw frames and the 10r pro frames (besides weight), in particular regarding stiffness. Has anyone ridden both and could comment?

Your guy in the know isn't in the know. Regarding stiffness, there is no humanly perceivable difference. And even if, then only in one's head.

This. I was told by Specialized themselves when I contacted them via email, so not a sales rep, that the only difference is weight. Everything else is exactly the same in terms of performance and feel. For some other brands there is a noticeable difference between carbon layups, but some brands like Specialized want the frames to feel identical, e.g. all Tarmacs regardless of size or frame model are designed to be the same.
