January 2024??? That's a long way to go. I was hoping for an imminent release (by late spring, early summer)
The more I see and hear I think Rim Chorus might have to get bought and stashed away.
Totally OT, but Chorus 12s once correctly adjusted is such an engaging groupset in terms of shifting operation. Even the FD is very snappy.
A total contrast to Shimano operation, which is silky smooth and not at all engaging to use (to me).
So for me this choice isn't just about availability, it's also about feel of shifting.

I get on my Shimano bikes and think, mm thats smooth. I get on My Campag and think, mmm thats nice. Never tried SRAM.Nickldn wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 3:29 pmTotally OT, but Chorus 12s once correctly adjusted is such an engaging groupset in terms of shifting operation. Even the FD is very snappy.

SRAM is fine, not as smooth as Shimano, but not as nice and engaging as Campy. Half way house.....NickB wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 5:59 pmI get on my Shimano bikes and think, mm thats smooth. Irrational but I so enjoy the Campy shifting, makes me want to ride the bike. Shimano.... not so much, but I recognise it's a great engineering achievement and service to human kind, etc. SRAM and Campy = more fun.

I've always found Campy front derailleurs in particular to be difficult to get right and I wince every time I front shift expecting a chain drop.
I've got the alignment tool, use Campy outer and inner, follow the manual to the letter, use an inline barrel adjuster.... been wrenching a long time.... it's just super finicky.
On this basis I've decided never to role with a mechanical 2x gruppo again.
