Lightest 12s Disc groupset in 2023
Moderator: robbosmans
If I were to pick the lightest 12s Disc groupset in 2023, mechanical or electronic shifting. What would it be?
To be fair with campy (that has bearing on the crankset), we should account for the bottom-bracket weight in the total. I would prob exclude rotors as they are swappable. Also would stick with stock cassettes and chainrings.

Juin Tech GT-F is where it's at, they're almost as good as a proper hydraulic set up but 150-200g lighter.

Not yet, but Red is being updated in March.
Not that it would be near the lightest, but I hope they add 105 Di2 as I'd like to see where it stacks up componant vs. componant.dalord774 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2023 5:49 amNot much has happened since 22, has it?

For people looking for more gear range? I assume this requires a Sram long cage mtb dearailleur. And if that's the case why not just use 11 speed 11-36 cassette and forget the conversion. My guess is anybody looking for this sort of range is unlikely to be bothered by slightly bigger gaps. Certainly it's not for a road racing application where that would matter. A rather nifty invention but the values seems limited.

Huh? Is it that good?CampagYOLO wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2023 12:52 amJuin Tech GT-F is where it's at, they're almost as good as a proper hydraulic set up but 150-200g lighter.
My Juin Tech F1 is a bit underwhelming vs my Ultegra Di2 hydraulic on another bike.
So I'm wondering about upgrading it to either proper hydraulic, or Juintech GT-F.
Sram 22 shifters with right side converted.
Gearloop 44/28 front chainrings, 2x. -- this is for a gravel bike. If you use road bike then keep regular 50/34 or 52/36.
Shimano GRX Front derailleur in my case to cope with the 44/28 front rings. (yes, it works with Sram left shifter too)
Ultegra 12 speed 11-30 cassette. -- 11-34 would work too.
Sram long cage 11 speed road rd.
Find me a lighter groupset with tighter gearing...
