I'm wondering if a Chorus 12s crankset and 48/32 chainrings will work with my 11s Record EPS front derailleur.
I've looked into Campy manuals for both cranksets (Chorus 12 and Record 11), and differences are:
1. +1mm chainline for 12s
2. 4,8 and 12,8mm from BB shell to inner side of both inner and outer chainring for 12s
3. 4,5 and 12,3mm from BB shell to inner side of both inner and outer chainring for 11s
The smaller 0,2mm gap from the small chainring to the bigger one on 11s can be due to the 11s chainrings thickness (or so I presume), so all in all differences are almost negligible.
If asking Campy the answer will be a redundant NO, but do you guys think that this will work?
