I now have 3D printed custom insoles in my shoes. These have been here for 3 years but because I switch them around in all my shoes they got broken. I now have to look for new insoles and looking for advice.

- Are the 3D printed insoles any better than other insoles, such as Retul?
- What insoles are the way to go today?
- Any other things I need to take in account?

The company who produced my original insoles doesn't exist anymore so I'm looking for long term solutions.
Thanks for all the advice.

I've had custom carbon insoles and also the G8's for a few years now. If I had my time again I'd save the $400 AUD or so that the custom cost and just stick with the G8's, I have noticed no difference at all between them.

The G8 have been adjusted to fit your feet I suppose?

Yep, just user trial and error with the position and height of the arch support. I have quite high arches but the highest insert works well for me.

There is some good info on these on the site below.

G8s are US$130. Solestar Blacks are $140. My fully custom insoles were roughly the same price...

G8s took up way too much volume in my shoes, not worth the money imo. Go custom.

My custom (Sidas) wasn't much more expensive than G8s. Also, I found them to have a couple of mm less stack height which I liked.
