Bought a 2nd hand Time bike. And it has this kind of stem with no top cap. I need something that is longer. Do I have stick with this type? Or will any regular stem fit?

You can use regulard stem on Time bikes.

Regular stems fit, it's headset preload that works differently. In fact that's a stem from a Felt bike that's currently fitted, nothing Time specific.

Thanks. How will I find a longer stem? What do I have to feed to Google to find the right one?

And is it possible to slam it more than it is now?

Walk into a shop and say 'I want to buy a longer stem'?

And it looks like there are some spacers fitted so yes, it can go lower.

I'm looking for the name of this particular type of stem. So that I can order it in a webshop.

You won't be able to buy that exact type of stem in a web shop because it is a Felt OEM stem, which are only supplied with Felt bikes. Besides, it's not a particularly attractive looking stem, so you'd be as well going for something a bit nicer IMO.

Why that stem? You can buy any standard stem on the market which is longer. Remove spacers until you get proper handlebar height.
If you don't understand how, go to a bike shop!

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

The carbon fiber clad 'Time' topcap in your picture is an aluminium tube. It closes the steerer tube and provides counterforce to the stem clamping on the steerer tube (see no 6).

You can reuse this with almost all ahead stems. It looks like you need a 1⅛" stem (any you like) in a longer size than your current stem (size of current one is probably printed or etched on it somewhere)

Edits to fix spelling and sizing mistake.

[/quote]It is a regular stem. A-head type. Just need to confirm the diameter at the headset end. Almost certain it'll be 1 1/8.

TBH, if you just look for a "stem" you'll get 100s of them

That particular stem? It's literally written on the top of it. But there's no reason why you need that particular stem.
