In the end I'm only sad about Cofidis trading Campa for Shimano.

They went all French with bikes, wheels, even their outfit with helmets and clothes... and in the end they equipped their bikes with an Asian groupset when they could have maintained an European one, one that's just a few meters away from French territory.

You know Cofidis is a French team, not Italy so they don't have to stick to Campy (not to mention teams with Pinarello, Bianchi and even now Colnago don't mind using Shimano groupsets and wheels at all...). Even before they suddenly started pretending an Italian team, I remember they inconsistently switched between Shimano/Campy/Mavic/American Classic/Fulcrum. And once Orbea? Some year models of LOOK 795 didn't support Campy EPS ... while almost designed as electronic-only.

Why on planet earth are PR people using huggly XXL bikes for promotion, the Koga was a joke and this one seems to follow the same path!
the full picture displayed here https://www.matosvelo.fr/index.php?post ... s&pub=1#pr was quite nicer!

Yeah, most bikes look their best in around size 54-56. Choosing to take the biggest bike you have for a promo picture is a bit weird.

It's the 795 replacement. Though geo the pro team uses may be different from final production models. July is planned for availability, but it may move forwards or backwards.
If it really is the 795 replacement... that's a shame  795 is a much nicer looking bike!
Totally agree, what a boring looking bike compared to the 795 Blade. Honestly the only reason why Look is still an interesting brand, is thanks to their bold designs. We don't need another French version of the boring Orbea story
Describe the what's and how's of a still bicycle looking boring, or even how 'boring' describes an inamimate object.

Perhaps you're just over-yolked?
Boring in the sense that it looks exactly like 90% of the high-end all rounders of today (supersix, tarmac sl7, wilier filante ...).

I was expecting something as distinctive and different looking as the 795 was when it came out.

They posted a nicer size down their initial post Image

See better the Bb section with a large junction section following the bottom of the bottle.

The Koga was a pretty normal size. Probably a 58 or 60.

Walscheid's example is probably a 64. With how (relatively) little seatpost is showing, there's no way that is a 60 / 61 / 62 at his height (1m99) and leg length. Whatever it is, I highly doubt Look produce one that big except for him.

Either way, compensation triangle at the headtube is small, and downtube pretty skinny. Might end up faster than the 795 due to the better looking fork integration, cleaner front end and maybe dropped stays - though I suspect they'll be very close to each other. They didn't exactly go full aero on it. Or anywhere close. Also close to zero shrouding of the rear wheel by seat tube and around seatstay junction - are the T20-like stays (designed for big shrouding) really going to be optimal?

Is that a well-placed shadow or does the BB area have a rather unusual shape? It looks like the chainstays extend all the way over the the BB shell, which would make for a rather unusual but potentially somewhat more aero shape.

Is the way that I've read the image. If it's not, it sure does seem like it.

That was my initial impression too and another shot slightly more clearly shows the extended NDS chainstay.
