Funny, I just received a warranty SuperSix V3 frame that i've been waiting for since October of 2022. It has the new head tube C logo.

New frame looks great.

Hopefully theyve fixed the things I dont like about the v3:
- seat post clamp
- the dumb way the thru axles fit in (the weird hybrid Thru axle that can be removed without fully removing the axle)
- improved integrated routing. I've got the Farsports F1 bar and it was a hell of a difficult time to get it installed/set up

CaadDaddy: Would be absolutely fantastic ;-)
I guess there is no CAAD 14. It would already be on the UCI frame approval.

Our LBS is a Cannondale dealer so you see a lot of Cannondale's on the road, especially SSE Gen 1 and 2. The SSE Gen 3 has not seemed very popular for whatever reason.
Because moving from Gen1/2 to a 3 means you have to basically replace the WHOLE bike. Rim vs disc

By your logic, most of today's disc-only bikes would not sell well...

Will there be an affordable entry-level bike with mechanical 105 or Ultegra? :noidea:
Any pics of the mid-range models w/ Std Mod frame and Ultegra Di2? Would be really interesting to see the colours and features.

Looking around in my club ride group of around 50 guys, my logic seems quite sound. (At this stage)
Bianchi around 1 in every 8 are disc. Cannondale we have around 3 in 10.

Fact is.....the "old bikes" (regardless of brand) are just as good, if not better (weight wise) and switching over to a whole new groupset is just too much of an expensive exercise and admin (learning new service / adjusting techniques etc).

I might be wrong.

The front and the seat post of the new bike look far more aerodynamic for me.
Unfortunately, GCN was not allowed to check the new bike at the Santos Tour Down Under.

I do think South Africa does sometimes struggle to get the latest product (cheaply) because of customs fee's and similar. I would say in my club now there are probably 70% disc bikes to rim and it was the other way around I would say pre-2020

Mostly cause the ssevo1 and 2 were quite ahead of competition in terms of ride quality and weight and the evo3 failed there. Generally not considered as better ride quality, not as aero as others, lack of visibility with EF for years… lack a key selling point with competition.

I just want here also to highlight the massive success Denk had designing very successful bikes, dominating the market: Scott cr1, addict, Cannondale evo1 and 2, Specialized sl6-7 here you have 6 generations of bikes dominating in a row.

The key for brand popularity around here is simply shop association. The more stores sell Cannondale, the more Cannondales you see. For a while there was one shop that was very willing to give just about anyone a “team deal” level discount, resulting in abnormally high numbers of a SSEs and Synapses seen on the road. That shop closed and Cannondale sightings became more rare.

The same even applies to Specialized. When Mike’s Bikes got dropped by Specialized after being bought-out by Pon, Specialized’s sales presence in the Bay Area evaporated overnight. It forced Specialized to fasttrack its DTC strategy, creating a special fulfillment/delivery service specific to NorCal in the process.
