I can try to send you 1 setup with Lap71, slammed all the way down stem, using conventional stem and handlebar. I can't send it until next few days.

Looking forward to this build for sureBenCousins wrote:Here's the listScania123 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 12:34 pmWhich bar and stem do you have in your cart? The rest of the build would also be interesting to seeBenCousins wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 10:50 amI would advise against buying any parts (I am in the same situation as you) until you've seen the frame. It's worth losing a week of riding it to make sure the bike is perfect in the future. I have an enourmous shopping cart at Bike24 ready for when I've checked it out.
- Bora WTO 45 DB
- Pro One Evolution (25 front, 28 back)
- Fabric Scoop Ultimate Shallow (I LOVE these saddles, been riding them on hire bikes this winter at Free Motion on Gran Can)
- Super Record Mechanical (53-39, 11-34, 175mm)
- Stem will either be an FSA ACR or something more standard, depending on our level of confidence regarding the mechanical shifter cable angles internally in the stem versus sitting underneath a standard stem. This is something I will look at in the store with a mechanic. Hopefully we can run some trial cables and housings into the frame and get a feel for the friction levels
- Vision Metron Aero ACR bars (this could change if I don't need an ACR compatible bar to a Pro Vibe Aero Superlight). I am undecided on 380 or 400mm
As a last resort I sell something expensive like a laptop or a watch and get EPS

I will be getting a 54 frame HiMod in Mercury at the end of April.
The plan is to build it with:
- 11 speed Ultegra Di2
- Rotor Power2Max crank
- Cannondale Conceal C1 stem
- Zipp SL70 Aero 38cm or an alternative with 70mm reach
- Speci Toupe Fake
- 50mm deep Nextie CRX wheels with Galfer 140mm rotors
- Michelin Powercup tubeless 25 front 28 back
I keep you up to date

I just realised EPS is probably out of the question as the battery wont fit in the frame, the Di2 battery is much shorter than the EPS one. I guess it could be jury-rigged to fit elsewhere (downtube?) but you don't jury-rig a bike at this pricepoint.
Anyone know the chainstay width at the rear brake bolts? I need to know what length to buy.

Availability of the standard level complete bikes in bigger sizes seems good already. Listed in some onlineshops already and this dutch store i visited yesterday had many on display and more in stock.
But smaller sizes are rare and he also couldn't give any ETA for framesets

Man that such an ugly set up.
I hope there is a way to internally route cables with a conventional stem similar to how the colnago v3rs does it, but with those holes at the front it is looking very unlikely.
Has anyone had a chance to test this out?
just a typo

I am 180cm with 90cm inseam. I will get 54. Riding a 53 Basso Astra the 54 SSE is the closest I can get.
You have a longer front center on a 54 and more variability to adjust with spacers. On the 56 you are stuck on 575mm stack and the longer reach.

It depends if you saddle setback is far back or not too. I'm sitting close to bb (-50mm with short saddle) which results in more or less 20cm exposed seatpost. Im 177cm inseam around 84cm. With momo bar (-6degree) I will run without spacers having a final drop of 10.5 depending on the topcap height (5mm or 10mm)
If you sit for example -70 setback in my case it would result in 19cm exposed seatpost.
Also if you use spacers it means reach descreases by 5mm for every 10mm spacer on a 54 due to the slack angle. Typically it's more like 3mm with less slack headtube.
So could be running some spacers just to find a better compromise to compensate for the longer handlebar reach

My ss evo2 in 56 size has 30mm tire clearance, light, sfiff, and more importantly rim brake.
I don't see any reasons to go for evo4, despite posh effect and hype.
Need to stock extra ss2 hm frame for the future!

You are 100% correct, if you want rim brakes and you don't care about aero there's no reason to buy this bike.charirider wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 2:34 amMy ss evo2 in 56 size has 30mm tire clearance, light, sfiff, and more importantly rim brake.
