Part from geometry etc, i must say they have a very poor option of colors. Only white and red, the others are like all black with colored accents.

As per Colnago's own admission in their documents, most of the aero gains vs V3RS are not in the frame (re)design. V4rs is perhaps a landmark in the history of colnago? Designed with ressource and state of the art technology, and if I am not mistaken this is the 1st time they, anyone?, have field tested various iterations of a carbon frame to collect feedback from riders to then decide on best comprise to launch the v4rs commercialy. Maybe it's a bike to get as a landmark in colnagos history.

Does anyone know if Colnago will be bringing out a V4 (as opposed to a V4RS, in the same way they had a V3 and a V3RS?
My problem with the new Colnago is that they want to be a Rolex or Louis Vuitton type of brand. $7100 retail for a C68 is a bridge too far. I will retire from Colnago along with Ernesto. If the right C64 comes along I'll pick one up as an upgrade to my C59.

Kind of wonder if you really need to integrated bar, or if you can use an aftermarket stem + bar.
It seems you would need an adapter between steerer tube and stem clamp.

Just received mine two weeks ago
Coming from V3RS (and Tecnos, C40, C50 and C59.. Long love story with Colnago)
Absolutly in love with this bike which is like a better V3RS: stiffer while climbing, still very quick on flat road and very very easy to ride on several hours ride.
I love the new Geometry: Coming from a 50s i've chosen a 485 who is in my point of view the closest size.
Just and advice, for V4RS owner (and C68..) you can replace the shitty plastic computer mount by a CNC one from Frames and Gear https://framesandgear.com/products/fram ... v4rs-mount
This one is much more solid than the original one. No vibration while riding et no computer move while pushing on the buttons.. It's a must have

I must say I’m beginning to like the v4rs (and c68) while at first I was very disappointed. The new geo might have been a step forward regarding modern materials and (disc)setup. Coming from a c50, m10 and still a c60 the v4rs (in full red) is starting to attract me.
Could you tell more about your setup? Saddle height and stem length for instance and how this compares tot your v3rs?

It's not a revolution coming from a V3RS but it's a nice evolution. Within only 3 rides with "him" i'm very impressed by the dynamic feeling while climbing outside the saddle, it's very very responsive.
On flat road i love that feeling like being on railroad. You push on the pedals and it rolls fast.
I don't know what you mean with "The new geo might have been a step forward regarding" but i feel "at home" on my 485. You just have to pay attention to the reach who is a little bit more lower than the V3RS.

One more question if I may as it looks like with this 485 v4rs you don’t have any spacers below the stem (it’s a 6 degree stem right?). How many spacers did you have in your 50s v3rs and what stem (degrees, length)?
I need to check on the combo for the angle.
I didn't have any spacers on ly V3RS and i had the SR9 stem which is also a 6 degrees stem

I have read couple of reviews of V4RS and I am quite confused. They keep repeating it´s a race bike with very stretched position, it is not made for amateurs, it is probably only good for racers etc. Looking at the geometry chart of the size 51, it is indeed 4mm longer and 3mm lower than 52 V3RS but compared to other racing bikes like Dogma, Specialissima, Emonda etc etc it is similar stack and actually shorter reach. But none of the reviews of those bikes keeps repeating it is not for amateurs. Is it just that they are repeating Colnagos marketers that it was done with pros for pros are there is something different with V4RS compared to other racing bikes?
