Personally I got rid of the 172 and went with 175 just to keep my mtb and road the same.
^ personally , I use 165mm crank on mtb just to just to keep my mtb and road and gravel and soon to build TT bike the same.

The most interesting so far is the rainbow cassette and chain...

The 36T is a boat anchor! New chain looks insane! But €82 euro? Jesus christ when you can buy force chains as cheep as €23 from Bike24 i think. That's crazy for fancy colors. I don't think I paid more than €70 for my XX1 rainbow chains.
Any news, yet, on where these chains might be on sale?

Planet X make me laugh with crank length. 172.5 and that's it. No option to change when speccing bike online.

I like the rainbow chain a lot. Hope they bring out a Red-level 10-44 in rainbow down the road as well.

Compared to the price of the SRAM AXS spider, that really is quite nice.

The spider would survive after wearing the chainrings though. Would the new ones not have to be discarded once the chainring is done?

Anyone have weared down the Red AXS PM enough to ask SRAM to replace at 50% discount?

Force AXS PM chainrings already cost less than half as much as the Red AXS PM chainrings, and they’re almost surely identical other than the color. Nonetheless I recently gave up on aftermarket chainrings and switched to the AXS one-piece rings. Shifting has been 100% perfect ever since without any FD adjustment. We’ll see how long it takes for the chainrings to wear out.

Those chainrings are going to last way longer using a waxed chain.
I have had virtually no wear on a RED cassette i bought used at 3500 km and now has 5000 km. The former owner and I were using Silca hot wax.

50% on Red and 10% on Force.

They shouldn't bother - just make both colors of rings available at Force price.

Who thinks they really are recycled? Plus you would have all the effort/infrastructure and carbon to get them back to SRAM for recyling - not worth it for 10% on Force.

Is the new SRAM Force "unicorn grey" because like its namesake it doesn't actually exist?

Has anyone seen this for sale in UK yet?
