Hi, happy Di2 noob here, Ultegra 12 speed 8170.
Just activated full synchro mode and love that simplicity, just up and down and nothing more.
However, how can I deactivate smaller buttons on the levers, that are usually used to control front deralleur?
My wishes to the configuration:
1. Manual mode: 4 buttons, to control everything, both deralleurs included.
2. Full synchro 2 buttons effectively, so both buttons on each lever are doing the same, either up ( right lever) or down ( left lever)
Full synchro is needed for winter riding, where I have to use thicker gloves, and shifting becomes kinda complicated.

Is it possible? The idea is not to mess full manual mode and still have control or possibility to go back.
The same time, I will want to solve the problem for winter riding and simplify everyting a bit.

Nope! Not possible. You can change what the buttons do using the mobile app, but you cannot change what they do depending on the shift mode you're in. It's one setting for all modes :).

Thanks.
Hope the option 2 (without 1) works well. In that case I am giving up my front deralleur.

The other day i had the the LED lights on the DI2 levers (12 speed DA) start blinking. There is one on each lever on the inside. They were blinking white. I guess it means the battery is low yet the battery is not low. ANy ideas on what this means?

White? Interesting! Do you have a video of this? :)

Hey Terry, some questions that I'd be grateful to have answered

1. Could SW-R9150 or SW-R610 be installed in the holes meant for SW-RS801 on the Pro Vibe Evo (tops and drop grips)?

2. Do I connect SW-R9150 to ST-R9250 with EW-AD305 due to the different wiring?

3. When it says that SW-R9150 must be connected to the battery, does being connected by way of wired ST-R9250 satisfy that condition? Or must I use a SM-JC41 to combine the 2x SD50 wires, and then run a SD50->EW-AD305->SD300 to EW-JC304, thus using up all 4 ports of the Junction B?

4. Assuming I can connect 2x SW-R9150 on top of 2x SW-RS801 to ST-R9250, does that mean there's 2-4x electronic wires running down from the cockpit into the frame depending on where I place the SM-JC41 and EW-JC304?

5. When assigning functions on the E-TUBE app, can you combine 2 functions onto 1 button? i.e. press to alter between shifting FD up and down instead of just up or down.

(mods: @MrCurrieinahurry asked me to post this, so this isn't just shamelessly promoting my own page :))

Over the past few weeks/months I worked on Di2 Cheat Sheets... because Di2 LEDs and buttons can be really confusing. I mean... the LED patterns have changed from red/green to yellow/blue/green when Shimano moved everything to the rear derailleur... and the button press timings are different depending on what battery you have installed...

It's all very confusing :).

So here are a bunch of cheat sheets. Print them, stick 'm on your wall, or send them to friends.

You can add your own logo at the top right. If you have to move other page components to do so, feel free to do just that. The only thing I ask is that you leave the QR codes/site links as they are :). If you want the source files (.afdesign / EPS), just send me a message.

If you're wondering what version to get, here is my page with more info on the cheat sheets: https://bettershifting.com/di2-cheat-sh ... leds-mean/

Alternatively, here are the direct links to the files:
Enjoy :}

An A3-size version is coming... some day. It'll let me put all the FD adjustment images on the cheat sheet and there will be more space for text. For now, I'm pretty happy with this version though - and I'll take a couple of evenings off :)
Nice!

For what it's worth, SW-R610 doesn't work with 12-speed Di2 :).
I don't think either of them will fit, see this video: https://youtu.be/2ANwg2IhTT8?t=814

Yeah... or connect it to an EW-JC41 and then connect that EW-JC41 to the rest of the system using the EW-AD305.

There must be a wired path from the SW-R9150 to the battery. If you plug them into a wireless shifter, then there must be a wired path from that shifter to the battery.
If you plug them into the JC41, then you should run a wire from the JC41 to the battery.
You could do:

SW-R9150 ("left") => SD50 => JC41
SW-R9150 ("right") => SD50 => JC41
JC41 => SD50 => EW-AD305 => SD300 => Battery

If you're using ST-R9250 with the EW-JC304, then I would just run that last wire from the JC41 not to the Battery, but to the EW-JC304... and run a wire from that to the battery.
JC41 => SD50 => EW-AD305 => SD300 => EW-JC304. And yeah, in that case you'd use all four ports of the JC304 :).

The SW-RS801 units connect directly to the shift lever's bottom ports, so they'll be limited to the handlebar area.
(You can connect multiple SW-RS801 units to one shifter using the EW-JC304, by the way... https://www.instagram.com/p/CqsXuCrM3AB/)
