Just got my size 56 built up, with 110mm stem and 38cm bars. Mostly dura ace build, but with a Rotor crank and power2max power meter. Shop weighed it at 7420 grams, which feels about right, but will try to weigh it myself too. I'd post a photo, but I need to post it to an image hosting site first.
Please do re-weigh... because I weighed a 51 DuraAce @ 7.8kg in the shop. (no pedals, cages, etc) frankly I lost interest after that.

I re-weighed my new build today with a Park Tool scale and it came in at exactly 7.42kg, just as the shop indicated. That's also including the computer mount (minus the computer) and a Varia swat mount on the S-Works power saddle. Here's a full building list, for those interested:

Size 56 in Five Black
38cm bars with 110mm stem
Dura Ace di2 build with Rotor Aldhu Crank (24mm spindle and 172.5 crank arms) and power2max Ngeco power meter
Shimano XTR MT900 140mm rotors
Hambini bottom bracket
Dura Ace pedals
Roval Rapide CLX wheels (prior non-tubeless model) with Vittoria Ultra Light Speed TPU tubes and Turbo Cotton 26mm tires
Specialized S-Works Power Saddle 143
Tune Wassertrager 2.0 bottle cages
Enve bar tape

Ultimately, I think the Cervelo full bike build has some very heavy components. The wheels, tubes and saddle, in particular, are heavy. I think the only way to save more weight than my build would be to go with a lighter crank and pedals, and a seatpost from Darimo if they ever produce one.

I've only been able to get two rides on it so far, but I'm very happy with the results. I'm coming from a 3T Strada Due, so similar bike. In fact, I moved all my transferable components from that bike to this one. Even though the Cervelo is about 100 to 150 grams heavier, it's not noticeable at all. What is noticeable is the increased stiffness - the bars, seatpost, bottom bracket and rear triangle all feel much stiffer, in a good way. The 3T never felt noodly to me, but it does compared to the Cervelo. Acceleration is much snappier and, when standing up on the pedals, the Cervelo is much quicker to respond. An unexpected improvement is on handling. The 3T never tracked very well on turns/sharp curves. I hate to use a cliche, but the Cervelo just feels like it's on rails. The geometries between the two bikes are very close, so I don't know what accounts for this, but it is a dramatic improvement.

I got a 48cm purple frame in today 1060/425 for frameset/fork. I'll be using a Hylix seatpost.

Also noticed the airfoil edges/transitions are allot sharper on the 2023 vs 2022 S5.

I'm dissapointed that my fork is heavier than the red 54 weighed eariler and frame is barely lighter too. Due to the paint, it might be heavier than my 2019 S5 in 51cm.

Thanks - how did you do that? Or better yet, what did I do wrong?

I went to your link and copied the image address directly. Not sure the one they display to you doesn't work, maybe it's tailored to social media apps or something.

I separated the left side crank arm and the crank w/chainrings, so the combined weight is 696 grams.

What bar width is that? That's one of the chunkier parts of the build.

Looks like it's fairly straight forward to get a 7.4-7.6 kg bike full up without bottles/computer. I saw a previous gen S5 build in gallery at sub 7 kg. With light wheels and some other tuning, likely possible for this gen as well.

Not the lightest by any means, but not bad at all for what it is, the most aero bike out there most likely.

40cm bar. Agreed, it should easily be down in the 220 gram range.

I went with 454 NSWs. Not sure if there are any other aero wheelsets that are significantly lighter.

Hi all. I'm looking for some help with a pretty simple question.

Im trying to compare a 2016 S3 to the figment of a 2020 S5.
The S3 has no bearing cap but has a 20mm conical spacer - so probably 12-15mm of actual stack increase.

When looking at the S5 do I need to add the stack of the stem to the frame stack ? Or is this already included.

I'm guessing I'd need to add 20-25mm of spacers on the S5 to get the same stack.
I use a 120-7 stem on the S3 so would probably go with a 110 on an S5

You're doing a bit of thread hijacking, I suggest starting a new thread here: viewforum.php?f=3

We're discussing new 2023 S5 builds and details in this one. Thanks!
