The dealer kit mentioned the head tube stop was redesigned. Not sure what exactly they have done and if it completely eliminates the issue with the previous version.

Ah found it-
In some circles, controversy followed the older S5. There were claims that the steering stop within the head tube, which kept the bars from twisting too far to the left or the right, could damage the head tube itself. Roy says he and his team tried to replicate the issue, but they couldn’t. Still, they’ve redesigned the stop. The old stop was a hard piece that butted up against the inside of the head tube itself. The new setup features a stop with rubber bumpers that come up against an alloy piece bonded into the lower head tube.
Sounds satisfactory.

The press articles state that the potential damage to the head tube is not present anymore, so it looks like they've moved away from the internal fork turning limit stop. Have they indeed?
What articles have said that? I am also wondering this as it is the only thing that was holding me back from buying the previous generation.
I read it in one of the articles too but can't find it fast now. The whole front end setup is different, but I don't know how they addressed this. There still is a steering stop as mentioned in the Grandfondo article.

Also, I wonder what default stem lengths and bar widths does the bike come with depending on size.
this, also what is the angle of the stem? We need a calculator to determine cockpit sizing based on desired touch points.

It's chosen at purchase point. Seatpost, stem and handlebar

It behaves as a normal 6 degree stem. You don't need any different calculator than you do for any other bike.

I was told the 54 cm ships with 42 cm bar and 172.5 crank arms, not sure about stem length, either 100 or 110. Any changes will be an additional charge unless the dealer will swap for you at no cost.

I'm in between 51 and 54.. hoping a 51 comes with 40cm bar and a 110 stem.

I'm up in the air about frame only or ultegra build and sell off parts.

I'd be pretty sure it'll come with the same stuff as the previous one, 40 bar and 90 stem. It absolutely definitely will not ship from Cervelo with a 110 on that frame size. You'll need to talk to your shop about swapping it out.

Maybe I'm getting into the weeds here, but I'm having a hard time with cervelo sizing- I currently ride a tarmac sl6 in a 56, with a 120mm -7 stem and 25mm of spacers. 58 seems nearly perfect slammed but with the 80mm reach bars (current is 70mm) I'm scared the reach will be too long especially with the new ultegra hoods (current is r7000). 56 is definitely the safer bet but it looks so damn ugly with a lot of spacers! Especially since it seems like the bar-stem spacers are gone for 2023. I'm 185.5cm, 88.5cm inseam for reference.

Because of the low stack height?
