So, did you spot any differences? Is that a new model or just a slightly refreshed one?

Integrated cables. Rest seems similar.

Hmmm, hopefully after 6 or 7 years after the release of previous version Canyon is capable of more than just integrated cables:)

surely they can also add dodgy seatposts and handlebars as they did after 6 years for the Aeroad

I wonder how canyon will botch this one. Should be exciting.

Unfortunately they have Aeroad so they are not forced to make one ultimate bike for flat roads and climbs - stiffer, lighter, more aero:) So it doesn´t force them to be more innovative...hiding cables and lighter layup is good enough for climbing.

Most of the so-called quiver killers aren't particularly light, and as Specialized showed with the Aethos there's lots of demand for a light disc frame. I have a Factor ONE for my aero bike (7kg rim brake) and a Scott Addict SL (5.6kg) for my climbing bike and don't want someting in between so could see the Ultimate as a disc option for a new climbing bike eventually.

Canyon seem pretty wedded to BB86 so this is very unlikely.

This appears to be an evolution of the current Ultimate and not a revolution. Shame as I'd have liked for the Ultimate to take some cues from the Aethos and chase low weight and ride feel over aerodynamics. The Aeroad already exists if you want an aero race bike.

Is canyon still selling race bikes? The Aeroad CFR is hardly ever available, the Speedmax is completely gone.

S-Works SL8 (2023) 6.3kg

*weights are race ready, size 58/L.
Sold: Venge, S5 Disc, Roubaix Team, Open WI.DE, Émonda, Shiv TT, Crux, Aethos, SL7

Contrary to popular belief the CFR isn't the go to bike for most

I know. The go to bike for most is an e bike with upright seating poison and luggage rack.
The race bikes we see here leaked are CFR versions however, and they are hardly ever available. As in not a single one.
