What size is that madone? 54 or 56?

It says 54 in the text so i think you can assume it's a 54
It's so marginal, maybe yours would weight same on his scale.
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

I checked the photo from the post again and it seems the weight 7.46kg is without bartape.

Another size 54 Ultegra (team red) with bartape, weight is 7.66kg (at 18:31 of this video)
https://youtu.be/c1q7EVHGF3o

So, your lbs at 7.565kg (deep smoke) is almost 100g lighter than Team red colour, and the bartape is around 100g.

I really want to see what a 50 or even 52cm frame looks like. I imagine it will look super awkward.

52 is passable ... but man that main space looks similar to my 47 BMC. I could fit a 54 if needed

A massive improvement over the previous gen 50cm.

Here's a 47cm Domane if you want to imagine what a Madone might look like in that size.

Thanks. It seems like there is barely enough space for the bigger bottle to clear the hole in the 50cm. But directing all the airflow onto the wheel and into the spinning spokes can't be good for aero

Still wondering if this is with traditional tubes and tire inserts. Would be an easy 200g to save..

I found a video on youtube, someone weight it in at 1590g. It was in red smoke and had a rear axle (no front) and the fork was attached and it seems there are some parts of the headset included but it is difficult to tell from the video, also no indication as to size. I think w/o paint, I mean Deep Smoke, and without any hardware the set should be around 1400-1450g..

Hi,

I took delivery of this Madone (Size 56) earlier today.

It is a Project One model with the following modifications compared to a standard SLR 9:

- RSL 62 wheels
- 110 mm stem
- Dura Ace Power crankset
- P Zero Race tires

Due to the winter season, it will probably take a couple of months before I can do my first proper ride.

I still need to have it dialled in.

Really nice, I had specced something similar with my LBS but the timelines and pricing is just madness so I'm working on a different project for now.

The RSL 62 wheels really do make such a difference to the look, kind of sad that I gave up on the build now...

How many spacers do you have under the stem? Looks much neater than the old Madone and especially the hideous spacers on the Emonda.

I have one spacer under the stem but a rather big one. Given the stack number, I should be able to remove the spacer. However, as the shape of the integrated handlebar and stem and the position of the hoods are slightly different from what I am used to, I am little bit cautious to begin with.

I like that color, it looks as classic as a Ducati (red and white ofcourse). Not knowing what you paid for it, i'd still say the price of any of these new bikes are absurd.
