What are the favoured bottle cages these days?

I have bought Supacaz Fly Ano for my TCR, and while I like the shape and weight, I am disappointed that the colored anodizing is flaking off after only a few days use.

I saw some Lezyne Matrix Team cages on offer so gave them a try, but the bottle entry is so awkward I swapped them out after one ride.

I have Elite Vico cages on a couple of other bikes, but I am finding that bottles tend to rattle noisly over rough ground as the fit seems to get looser over time.

I have been looking at Silca's titanimum cages, particularly the rainbow anodized one, but I am not sure if the styling of titanium cages fits that of a modern carbon frame. Besides the rainbow colours of the Silca cages seem muted compared to the (unavailable) King rainbow cages.

My research seems to indicate the Arundel Mandible cages are highly regarded. Are these still the ones to get if retention, looks and weight are main factors? Do titanium cages look out of place on a carbon frame?

I have some Bontrager XXX cages that I really like. I think they are 16-17g each. I didn't expect them to work as well as my old heavier cages but they've been flawless.

Tacx Ciro, 1gm heavier than the Mandible carbon and 1/5 of the price, race proven with zero rattle.

Agree, paired with the lightweight Elite bottles.

Maybe it's the Camelbak bottles I use but I find the Mandibles hold on too tightly. The Arundel Dave-O cages hit the sweet spot for me.

If you ride fast and hard, Arundel Mandibles.

If you don’t actually ride bikes, Carbon Works or clones.

What you want is the Zefal Pulse carbon.

As others have mentioned Arundel mandibles. Easily handled the cobbles of Flanders and the pave of Roubaix for me. Maybe expensive but they look great and perform.
