I remember much of the discussion on the C68 is centered around its curiously racy geometry which doesn't seem to be in line with the C series usually purchased for its looks and ride feel.

I don't get why the bike feels sluggish?
I remember a review of V4RS mentioned it was great when going fast, less fast, it didn't seem very appealing.
I agree, i would deem the geo very aggressive.
For that amount it would seem a Pinarello Dogma F would be a safer bet.

Anyway, an endurance bike doesn't need to be sluggish ;-)

One of my mates got one, sold it after 2 weeks. Coming from a V3RS, from his word its an absolute pig of a bike
Pics or it didn't happen. I have one and sluggish would honestly be one of the last adjectives I'd use.

Its hardly an endurance frame when many of us would have to add 3-5 cm of spacers under the stem to be able to get the same fit as a C64.

The C68 makes me feel like I should snatch up the next C64 in the right color before they get really hard to find. The C64 really is the last of the C-Series Ernesto Colnagos.

My BS meter is off the charts. Frame is around 1000 grams so weight is unlikely an issue. So what is it then? Flex? I doubt it. And who unloads a bike like this after 2 weeks? A bit of trolling going on here perhaps?

Differences between wheelsets and tires will have a massively greater effect on responsiveness than differences between top line frames.

James Huang said the performance was outstanding and it was brilliant to ride:

I rode one at a Colnago test day and it was a brilliant ride. I don't understand where these sluggish, endurance bike comments are coming from.

My personal bike was a dogma f rim brake at the the same time I tested and would love to have a c68 rim to compare.

Question to those C68 riders: How are you gettig on with the bike long-term and should a C64 owner think about an upgrade?

For some reason it feels like the C64 die hards wouldn't necessary see the C68 is a competitor or even an upgrade.
The geometry is not Colnago as it use to be. This bike seems lower and longer.
Personally i would pick a Dogma F over C68 (if i just had to pick one).

I actually like the C68 geometry. I think the new 53 would fit me better than the old 52S.

Personally, I wouldn't see the C68 as an upgrade other than you want to show up to the coffee shop with something new for your mates to ooo and ah over.

But I wouldn't pay $7,000 for a frame though. The new Colnago wants to be a Louis Vuitton.

Me neither. Looking at prices it would lean towards Time if i bought a new frameset.
Money is a factor i couldn't sway from. C68, Pinarello aso are priced on the absurd. You might aswell buy a custom made frameset.

Does anyone have suggestions for getting a C68 custom painted?

I absolutely love it. For me personally, they nailed it. Feels stiff, but not jarring. So much of that comes down to tire choice though, I think many overestimate the importance of frames in that regard.

The geometry is what really makes it for me. The 485 was spot on.

Orginally wished it had a colnago signature, but forgot about that real quick after riding it. Still made by hand in Italy. Not sure what else is anymore. That's cooler than a signature imo

Great to hear! I'll be squirelling away the pennies until the new colourways appear (hoping for a Frozen version) and the new Super Record to launch.
