Heck why not buy a Sarto. They seem to have to build frames/bike that have a great ride feel.
This is probably the one thing that part an OK bike from a super ride.
I wouldn't cry one second if i could afford their latest flagship!

Your C64 is a superbike too, the C68 wouldn't be fantastically different. If I can have either for free, I'll pick the C64 for aesthetic reasons alone. The bulbous head tubes and lack of visible lugs elsewhere betrays the Colnago tradition in terms of design.

I merely ment that C68 cost about same same. Atleast from those price lists i've seen.ultimobici wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 4:49 pmIf you want to wait an eon and pay through the nose, go for it.wheelsONfire wrote:Heck why not buy a Sarto. I would probably not buy any of them, too expensive for me.

I should point out I’m biased, due to my employer.wheelsONfire wrote:I merely ment that C68 cost about same same. For sure. That might actually be my one complaint- Wish the paint options were a bit better.Dov wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 11:34 amGreat to hear! I'll be squirelling away the pennies until the new colourways appear (hoping for a Frozen version) and the new Super Record to launch.DP83 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 3:26 amI absolutely love it. For me personally, they nailed it. Feels stiff, but not jarring. So much of that comes down to tire choice though, I think many overestimate the importance of frames in that regard.
The geometry is what really makes it for me. The 485 was spot on.
Orginally wished it had a colnago signature, but forgot about that real quick after riding it. Still made by hand in Italy. Not sure what else is anymore. That's cooler than a signature imo
Is there any reason the CC01 handlebar can not be used on a C64?

I don't know but boutitique brands seems to have a really bad second hand value. I count AX as one of these brands to.ultimobici wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 7:13 pmI should point out I’m biased, due to my employer.wheelsONfire wrote:I merely ment that C68 cost about same same. Custom is even worse!
A steel bike for instance, you would probably get tops 1500-2000 Euro here if you even could sell it.
I wonder what bike holds a somewhat value after 2-5-10 years?
Say all this hyped up machines. Pinarello probably the most extreme and BMC Masterpiece.
Is it even 10% out of 10-15 000 Euro?
I seriously doubt it. The more integrated the more troublesome to actually find the most ridiculous spare part.
I just sold a complete Etap system, i have loads of saddles and nice handlebars.
I had one dude asking and i sold that saddle cheap as heck.
The Etap prices on Ebay are absurd, they wouldn't get more than a 1/3 of that here.

After a long deliberation, I've decided on a C68
Found a C64 frame as well, just a regular Black/White colour like the C68 I bought. It wasnt an easy choice for sure but I go with the newest usually. I keep my bikes and this should keep me on the sidelines for a long time
Target is in the low 7s. No exotic parts other than the Vision Metron that claims to be 360g in my size
Pretty stoked. My first road bike in 9yrs (I got one in 2020 but that's on full time Gravel duty)

Anybody know if the seatpost of a C64 also fits into a C68? Is the shape the same?
