Hey there,
This handlebar was revealed over half a year ago and briefly discussed in a few threads here and there.
I have however not seen it mounted to a single customer bike.
Are there any images of how it looks on a few different frames? Does anyone have experience with the handlebar (is it comfortable? How is the shape?)
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Where did you order it?
Also interesting how the stem angle is different with different stem lengths (105 ~ 7.5; 115 ~ 8.5, 125 ~ 9.3).

bike-components had one unit in stock.
currently running the enve aero stem with 137.5mm and -12° but could get away with a little less reach i think. Also interested seeing if the STI only sit flush in one position or if they can be mounted a little lower without ruining the transition. In videos they are a little to much upwards

Just saw bike components awaits deliveries in early April.
I have ordered a 105mm 400mm.
Maybe to be fitted with a new bike. The current cockpit I run is 110mm, -12, 400mm with a 80mm reach.
I guess the 105mm 400mm (80mm reach) comes closest. Although I would have preferred the 380mm.
I'll have a look at how this looks on the bike an maybe exchange it then.

Edit just found a 380mm/115. That should be about perfect. Gonna take a few pictures of the one arriving today and return it.

Oh wow, it is a proper chunkster:

The stem is 55mm wide where it joins the bar. Standard is like 40 to 42mm.
It weighs 421g, and the glued on handgrips for the tops looks bad quality. You can easily see and feel the glue under the gap.
Pretty upsetting product.
Also looks rather chunky from the front.

I watched this video back then and I thought the flaps were rather awful looking but blamed it on the mechanic.

If you watch the GCN video where Alex presents the pro stuff on his orbea Orca aero the handlebar look fine iirc

Same feeling for me. Doesn't really feel aero and it doesn't match the lines of the SysSix frame at all. While the grip of the rubber tops seems to be quite good, its looking cheap and like its peeling off already. Covering it with bar tape is not an option as well.
Overall not what i expected from shimano and nothing i'm willing to pay over 500€ for.
Sending it back tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm sending it back, too. Likely the 380/115 too. I really like the idea of no tape on the tops, integrated satellite shifters and narrow hoods with flared drops.
But it looks goofy af, with laughably poor build quality, and I have zero proof of it being aero.
Dunno.

What was Shimano thinking with this design...Finish and weight aside, I can't imagine any frame looking good with these.

Thank you for contributing to the record levels of waste just to take a picture.

The waste (muda) is definitely in the carrier (DHL) having to needlessly carry my parcels back and forth, which, assuming they wouldn't deliver to my company on the daily, would mean addition emission of CO2 through added driving. My company however receives parcels by DHL daily, regardless of me ordering a handlebar or not, so there is no one having to drive twice because of me.
Additionally, I didn't destroy any of the parcels and reused everything accordingly. The only waste I can think of is the additional use of tape to keep the parcel closed.
So yeah, I unnecessarily used like 1m of tape, and shared my experience with a bad product online, so potentially others don't have to buy it and can prevent themselves from buying it, seeing how bad it is, and having to return it.

We're on a forum where the average user buys expensive and not recyclable carbon items with the only purpose of saving handfuls of grams (which is something truly wasteful), and your beef is with an user who decides to return an item based on it not meeting certain functional and quality standards?

Another thank you for saving me an obviously expensive & failing purchase experiment
