Well, you can't charge same amount of money for simple looking bike with external routed cables, can you?
To be honest, personally I'm prepared to pay even more for this kind of bike 😂 There aren't many alternatives left if you want a simple, but high quality frame without headset cable routing or any proprietary parts.

Will BMC drop new models this year? Local bike shop currently offers 15-30% discount on all in stock BMCs (except Kaius).

Aethos sales have been strong/steady, so I doubt it's going away anytime soon. All they need to do is update the paint every now and then.
New stunning 2023 colors.

Also wanted to know. Current frame is 4 yrs old now correct?

I just got the Green light (!) for a new bike. Currently prowling at a Colnago V4RS or a Bianchi Specialissima

I agreee with the idea that Specilized has no where to go unless they make it 10g lighter and perhaps hid the cables. TBH, I don't see many of these on the road.

Horses for courses, I see fewer Aethos and more SL7s in crits and flat road races. I start to see some in hilly road races. I see a few on my large race pace group rides, and I see a ton on our hilly cul-de-sac sprint group rides in the hills.

One disadvantage of the Aethos is the S-Works is subtly branded and from afar it looks like any round tubed bike, so they are easy to miss.

Subtle branding is a positive thing! The best just showing nice colors and not too many logos nor too big ones. No car is sold with big logos across, why have them on every bike? Even bike clothing has gone that route in the last years like Rapha, PNS, Velocio, etc. just nice colors no big branding. Cannondale is also doing that rightt

Hopefully the Falcn allows Ridley to go full weight weenie with the Helium. Specialized can’t have the Aethos market all to themselves.

If we had a large image with all the current frames, but all black with no logos.. how many could you name at a glance without having to double take? The Trek Madone definitely... most others, even the S5 you might double take and question Bianchi?
