new frame rumors for 2023?

I preferred when aero bikes were mostly a "fatter shaped" bike. Say, previous Madone, Venge, previous (well, two generations) S5, even the SystemSix. These new ones (e.g. Ribble Ultra, S5, Oltre) are just too much for me, they almost don't feel like they are bikes. Showing up to a group ride on one of these would feel like the ancient example of showing up to a group ride in a TT helmet - you can do it, but it will be weird.

Regional differences I guess. The S5 is a very popular, very available bike here. Both major chains are Cervelo dealers, with one actually being owned by Pon. For the most part, no one cares what you ride, but how you ride.

Strangely i kind of like the new Bianchi. Bold design choices, but they could pay off i think. Long, horizontal Stem, matte wheels without graphics and the stealth aero bomber is perfect.
But i also like bikes like the Dogma with its wavy shapes.

Yeah, me too. Slightly puzzled by the entirely negative reaction on here, I detect a smidgeon of bandwagonitis.
The stem really does ruin what would otherwise (IMO) be quite an interesting looking frame. At least it's a bit more distinctive than most of the recent offerings from other big brands.
The questions for me are whether the frameset is lighter than the XR4, whether it's actually aero and of course what it rides like.

New Sturdy TT bike and Aero road bike. He developed them in conjunction with each other. Main differences are slightly deeper down tube on the TT bike to better suit TT speeds and the cockpit/headtube.

Overall it doesn't look anything like as bad as I was expecting, though my expectations were extremely low. But there are some odd choices ...
I assume that's the stock rather than a higher rise option stem - that means they chose to have an ultra short headtube, and to get the bars back up to a reasonable height they went with a very high rise on the stem. This is almost certainly much more draggy than a significantly taller headtube, or spacer stack. Call it a hunch, but I suspect spacers for smaller adjustments than different stem rise / lengths might be absent too ...
Again, what's going on with the headtube / stem and headtube / fork crown interfaces? Per my annotation, there is a wedge shaped gap between the stem and headtube, and a large sharp angled overhang of the headtube over the fork crown. This looks like a badly conceived proto, or some AliExpress special?? Is that really final? I suspect the bottom of the headtube will be very easily damaged and though forces are minimal in that area, given the sharp angle, vibrations might be enough to start cracks propagating.

I know there was a lot of focus on the TT rig, but I think there's also some really nice details in his new aero frame..CustomMetal wrote: ↑Tue Oct 18, 2022 11:25 amNew Sturdy TT bike and Aero road bike. Isn't that UCI iliegal?
I note that there are visible bolts so you can perhaps transform it to UCI legal easily, but wonder how much difference that will make visually and performance wise.
