They made it sound like Specialized had the patent granted already, which I feel would be bad news for Rondo. Either way, I still think it's a cool design on paper but would be terrible in practice. 1x only, and only 1 bottle in the triangle are both hard passes to me by themselves, let alone together. I'm glad to see new designs that break the mold of traditional frame designs, but at the end of the day it has to be functional.
As the article reads, Rondo seems to be able to prove they had this frame design going before specialized even started to work on it - and while I didn't study law, this should put them in a rather safe spot.
Spe patent uses tube dimensions ratios to “frame”’its design. You could have 2 similar looks that are either Inside or outside the patent perimeter.

Looking at the RUUT, it appears that the seat tube could hold a bottle. Maybe, like some MTB, it's the size: XS, S, and M only get one, but L nad XL can hold two.

Maybe it's just the photo or the angle...b/c if it could hold two, when wouldn't they???

Isn’t just the new handlebar more likely? Since it’s been deliberately leaked for a while now?

Maybe.
But Remco uses Pro handlebars. So it would be weird that he hypes handlebars he doesn't use :noidea:

The post already suggests a new WC paintjob. Not sure why we’d assume anything else.

The Ruut looks really interesting, but no 2x large bottles in main triangle and no 2X is going to really hamstring it from my perspective.

Looks like they drop the stay even more. Think they did something significant to the front since they are hiding it. The BB area does not seem to be raised like the current trend.
