Talked to my local Spesh dealer and he confirmed. The Spesh rep told him announcement at TDF.
As always with the Tarmac

You don't believe that engineering within a given set of constraints (as bike design requires) - causes convergence around an optimum solution, really?
Yes really... It's not a belief it's a fact and I say this as an Engineer, if each problem had only 1 solution, we wouldn't need Engineers.
Furthermore you seem to ignore that each design is a ballance between MANY parameters, from mechanical (aero being only one of them), manufacturing or financial POV. For example Pinarello never put weight at the same level than other brands.
edit: if you think they would have kept them on a hour record bike if they were completely "stupid"...
Just wait for someone to bring out a bike or helmet with winglets all over it, like that horrific Ducati a few years ago. It's just a matter of time and will make the Bianchi look tame, unless it's already out there.

Ah, i repeat myself, i would easily take Dogma F over any other frameset currently available.
But if you ask me if it would be same if i paid retail, i would say no way!

I guess my question is why then are they teasing new handlebars for the SL7? If there really was an SL8 around the corner wouldn't they hold the bars back as part of that rollout?Buexx wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 9:15 amThe SL8 surely will be launched for the Tour, or? Maybe available for the public to buy in August?CustomMetal wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 10:10 amMy source in the big S says August for SL8, but that may be available rather than release

I know that a new SL8 is planned and all, but Spesh has so much brand equity that they could easily get away with selling the current SL7 with the new cockpit and maybe a layup update ala '21 Madone
The new cockpit is meant to add hype and aerodynamic credentials to the new model, selling the SL7 with it would be a questionable move as it would only dilute the perceived value of the new model.StiffWeenies wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 5:38 amI know that a new SL8 is planned and all, but Spesh has so much brand equity that they could easily get away with selling the current SL7 with the new cockpit and maybe a layup update ala '21 Madone
